Abstract:
The 64th German Plant Protection Conference, which will take place from October 7 to 10, 2025, at TU Braunschweig, will address research on the fungal rhizosphere microbiome and its connection to fungal diseases in clover and alfalfa. As part of the TriSick project, over 70 locations in Germany were investigated, identifying specific pathogens such as Ascochyta medicaginicola and Didymella pinodella. The analysis of the rhizosphere microbiomes revealed significant differences in composition between diseased plants and healthy ones, indicating specific changes due to the diseases. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
