Projektbeschreibung:
The Brazilian sugarcane industry is passing through an intense modernization process in the last years, improving its energy balance through a better utilization of bagasse in high efficient cogeneration systems, replacing the pre-harvest burning by mechanized harvest system, and recently, developing the second generation (2G) bioethanol technology from lignocellulosic materials [8,9]. In this context, the impact on the energy balance that AD process could provide to the sugarcane biorefineries is still not well understood, especially regarding the use of the solid wastes as straw, bagasse, filter cake, and also the newly wastes from 2G bioethanol production (i.e., 2G vinasse and pentoses liquor).
