Aims of the Project:
Improvement of organisational, technical und commercial Know-how in the sustainability of agricultural organic wastes handling by relevant Institutions und organisations in Jordan.

Activities:
• Declaration of the project with relevant state institutions (Ministry of Environment, Ministry of agriculture, etc.)
• Cooperation with private sectors (Producers and users from agriculture wastes)
• Survey of actual situation and evaluation of handling of Organic Wastes in Jordan
• Implementation of demonstration plant for production of composts from diverse waste materials
• conducting scientific research through laboratory analyse at Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan und University of Rostock in Germany/Department of Waste Management.
• Capacity building of specialized personnel from the relevant Ministries, solid waste producers, disposal and composting companies and potential users of compost.
• Developing of guidelines for the treatment and utilization of organic wastes in Jordan.
• Developing a concept for sustainable handling of agricultural wastes with respect to technical, economical, and ecological aspect.
